ABOUT US:

Airbourne Aviation is the UK's longest running Flying School operating out of Popham Airfield near Basingstoke Since 1979 with a second location at Membury Airfield near Newbury.  Popham is the spiritual home of amateur aviation in the South of England and has a vibrant community and busy cafe.  

 

We a fantastic team of instructors and  7 aircraft in our fleet,  5 x Comco Ikarus C42's which are ideally suited for pilot training and used by the majority of microlight flying schools in the UK, and of course, our beloved Sherwood Ranger Biplane. If you enjoy your bi-plane flight, we can arrange for you to continue your journey to get a pilots license, do conversion training into the Bi-plane and you can come and rent this aircraft and take your own friends and family flying!   I

The background photo was taken at Longleat at the 2023 Balloon festival where we were invited to display our aircraft, one of a very small number of aircraft over the years who have had the privilege of landing on the main drive.
